Oil and gas refineries, petrochemical plants, and offshore drilling rigs present high-risk environments where flammable gases, vapors, and combustible dusts create a constant explosion hazard. Standard electric power tools are strictly prohibited in these zones due to potential arcing at the motor brushes.
